QUALITY NUTRITION

Many of the children we help are stuck in a multi-generational cycle of poverty.  Their parents only  make a few dollars a day.  They don’t have an education and are stuck where they are.  This is all they know and pass it down to their children.

Lack of proper nutrition plays a big part in the development of a child’s life.  It can stunt a child’s growth, makes them more susceptible to many different diseases, reduces mental functions,  makes them have low levels of energy, and can lead them to early death.

When a child is chronically hungry it is hard form them to focus on anything.  We strongly believe that children do good things when they have a full stomach.  Breaking the cycle of poverty starts with nutrition and then can build from there.

Our feeding centers provide hot nutritious meals 2 times a day to any child who is hungry.  We reach about 200 children a day.  Not only do we serve meals but we also try to be an example to the children.  Most of the children haven’t learned basic life skills so we teach them.  We show them how to be kind to each other, to animals, how to share, and have a good attitude.   We teach them how to have respect for life, we teach them table manners and punctuality.
