In 2012 we started Pure Heart Children’s Fund in Managua, Nicaragua. We opened our feeding center near the Managua city dump after visiting and seeing the hopeless situation in which the people lived.
We serve around 200 meals every day to the children that live in the communities along the dump. Sometimes we are their only meal.
We also opened a preschool and have around 30 students. We want to instill the love of education at a young age.
We also have our Winner’s Kids Club on Saturdays. We try to build a sense of community and love. So when times get rough for them, they have each other and us to lean on.
2013
2013 marked the start of our Pure Heart Preschool. Our feeding center was serving about 40 children. It was a hard time for us and we thought about quitting several times. One day we connected with Pastor Astrubal, who had also been feeding children. So we joined forces and have been able to help even more children.
2014
We started construction and almost finished the Winner home (one room still needs to be finished!). We moved in and opened up our preschool. We had about 100 kids in our feeding program and 20 kids at our preschool.
2015
In 2015 we increased the number of days we provided meals to the children. We were doing Monday-Friday and feeding around 115 kids.
2016
We started the process to become our own 501(c)3 in 2016! We also started our Winner’s Kids Club on Saturdays, with about 50 children. We were providing between 150-200 meals for the kids! And had about 30 students at our preschool.
2018
We partnered with Grace Life Outreach to expand our charitable efforts. Grace Life Outreach also supports children and people in Nicaragua, Ukraine, Mongolia and elsewhere. All donations through pureheartchildren.org fund the efforts in Nicaragua directly.
