EDUCATION

It can be hard for many uneducated parents to value school because they did not receive an education themselves as children.  They pull their children from school because school can be a financial burden on them or they need their children to work and earn money.  This is one way the cycle of poverty continues in Nicaragua.

We want to build a foundation of education in our students that will last them their entire lives so that they will have the desire, knowledge, and will to continue to learn and graduate from school.

Our preschool aims to provide a quality education that will give teach them life skills and a love of learning.  We provide an education that doesn’t place a financial strain on the student’s parents.

Our Pure Heart Preschool is a Nicaraguan certified preschool.  We aim to teach the children to read before they graduate at 5.  We want them to have basic math skills, be familiar with english, have basic writing skills, and know the alphabet in both spanish and english.  We also teach social skills, hygiene, table manners, and helping with chores.  We also want our students to learn patience and perseverance.  We think that creativity is very important and we have arts and crafts, dance, drawing, music, etc.  We also try to instill a love of animals, plants, and nature.
